Sea Rose Knifeworks Concept

Sea Rose knifeworks is a Seattle-based company created hand-forged, custom knives. To create a logo that would fit with their brand, I took a look at the company's social media pages, and quickly realized that the owner was a big fan of the bold and richly colored traditional-style tattoos. Using that as a jumping off point, I mocked up multiple ideas for logos that incorporated that aesthetic, while also playing with nautical themes that would suit the brand's name. The client wanted a logo that would work for Social Media icons and their website, as well as a custom design that could be used to literally brand each of his creations. 

This design was the client's favorite, perfectly capturing both the nautical feel they were after and the bold style of the client's traditional tattoos. I created a variety of color schemes that would work in any situation and would best personify the brand. 

The designs above were created for use as a stamp or brand that would be made on every knife produced by Searose Knifeworks so that the brand's identity would be instantly recognizable. I created a color version as well that could be used for Social Media icons.
